Photography
Accomplished photographer with a passion for taking panorama (stitched) landscape photographs. A series of multiple photographs taken
with a tripod mounted camera in portrait mode, using manual exposure settings.
The RAW images are imported into PTGui Pro software,
combined or stitched together and saved as a TIFF file. The TIFF file is opened in Photoshop CS for final editing.
Accomplished modeler with a passion for assembling museum quality models. Completed models to date are:
1:85 scale USS Constellation Ship (18 months to build),
1:16 scale 1917 Sopwith Camel (9 months to build), and
1:24 scale 1958 Ferrari 246 F1 auto (3 months to build)
All models use authentic materials and are fully detailed. The Sopwith Camel does not have exterior cloth covering
to purposely expose the internal workings of the original airplane with working flaps and rudders.
CAD 2D/3D Renderings
After working in 2D with CAD programs
for years (AutoCAD, TurboCAD, and others),
I ventured into the world of 3D modeling. I completed multiple
lessons to learn 3D modeling and have completed multiple projects. My
most recent work is a 3d rendering of a "virtual art gallery" of
my wife's work.
Another rendering is one of my home in Northern California. The home specifications
were taken off the original blueprints and created in 3D from scratch.
Woodworking
Prior to getting into the computer industry, I learned the art of woodworking, finish carpentry, cabinet and furniture making and did
piece and general contractor work in Northern California and Colorado.
I love working with hardwoods such as: black walnut, maple,
oak, and mahogany.
